A general map of the old Glasgow City, showing the relative (approximate) street locations of places our family have lived and worked. The map also shows the now disused Clyde Canal. Many of the streets on this map no longer exist, so it may be easier to refer to the street index below to locate places using the map’s grid. Once located, you will be able to refer to one of the seven detail maps that show actual streets, buildings and places of interest: Blackfriars (Central/High); Bridgeton; Dennistoun (Calton/Camlachie); Govanhill (Polmadie/Gorbals); Hutchesontown (northern part); Milton (Cowcaddens/Port Dundas); and Rutherglen.
